Supportify is operated by Supportify LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Wisconsin, United States, at 2055 Hawthorne Dr., Elm Grove, WI 53122. Supportify LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is the data controller for the information described in this policy. The one exception is the audience contact lists creators collect through the polls sign-up form, where the creator is the controller and Supportify is their processor under the Data Processing Addendum.

We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Name or username
  • Email address
  • Messages submitted with payments

1.2 Payment Information

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details.

We may receive limited information from Stripe, such as:

  • Payment status
  • Partial payment identifiers
  • Billing name (if provided)

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

We may collect basic technical data:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device information
  • Usage data (pages visited, interactions)

1.4 Cookies

Supportify uses session cookies necessary for authentication and platform operation. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Process and facilitate payments
  • Display supporter messages and alerts
  • Provide and improve our services
  • Detect fraud or abuse
  • Communicate with users when necessary

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information with:

  • Stripe (for payment processing)
  • Service providers that host and run our platform (currently Vercel and Supabase, on Amazon Web Services)
  • Legal authorities when required by law

4. User Content and Messages

Supporter messages may be displayed publicly as part of alerts.

Users should not include sensitive personal information in messages.

We retain information as long as necessary to:

  • Provide our services
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes

7. Where Your Data Is Stored, and Your Rights in the EU and UK

Supportify runs on servers in the United States. Our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase, on Amazon Web Services) and our payment processor (Stripe) store and process your information there. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the United States when you use the platform. For those transfers we rely on the standard contractual clauses included in our providers' data processing terms.

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, we process your information on these legal bases:

  • Performing our contract with you: running your account, processing payments, and showing supporter messages and alerts
  • Our legitimate interests: keeping the platform secure, detecting fraud and abuse, and improving the service
  • Our legal obligations: tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests

In addition to the rights in section 6, you have the right to:

  • Restrict how we process your information, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Receive a copy of the information you gave us in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure.

9. Third-Party Links

Supportify may link to external platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
